The EA App is Electronic Arts' desktop client for PC gaming, replacing the older Origin launcher in October 2022. It serves as both a store and a game library manager for all EA titles on PC. Games purchased through the EA App or activated with EA keys launch through this client. The transition from Origin preserved all existing game libraries and friends lists. If you have EA games bought on Steam, some older titles may still require the EA App to run alongside Steam, though newer releases have moved to native Steam integration.

EA's biggest franchises are primarily available through the EA App: EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA), Madden NFL, NHL, Battlefield, The Sims 4, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Dead Space, and Star Wars titles. Many of these are also sold on Steam, but some older EA titles and certain editions remain exclusive to the EA App. The EA App is also the only place to use EA Play subscription benefits on PC.
