Blackwoods takes place in an alternative history diverging shortly after the onset of the cold war. The resistance in the Baltic countries is not suppressed as readily early on which emboldens them and enables them to last far longer than they did in reality.
Decades later, the resistance is very close to being a private army with scavenged uniforms and weapons but lacking the training- however, the enemy will not simply sit idle and allow you to grow more powerful.
You will be joined in this fight by other members of the Blackwoods unit as well as some unknown characters who have simply been caught up in this battle.
The nature of this unit means nobody's true intentions can ever be known so who can you really trust when everything is on the line?
