About BombCase

BombCase - about the game

BombCase is a turn-based deduction game that blends action and indie elements on PC. Players take on the role of an agent in a tense bunker setting where briefcases line a table, most containing valuable documents but one hiding a bomb. The core loop revolves around gathering partial information through specialized tools before committing to an opening that ends the turn. Success depends on careful observation, note-taking, and anticipating an opponent's moves in this duel of wits and sabotage.

Gameplay

The experience centers on reading the table through more than twenty devices that each reveal limited truths. A stethoscope detects bomb ticks, a Geiger counter identifies paper, and a UV lamp uncovers forgeries. Players mark cases with personal notes to piece together the layout while managing limited turns. Environmental hazards add pressure, including accumulating poison and radiation that carries over between missions, traps that remove turns or equipment, failing lights, and a ticking clock. The table itself can activate with additional threats. Between missions, time spent in the safehouse allows purchasing, selling, and combining devices, brewing truth serum at the workbench, and solving a separate puzzle by packing twenty supply crates.

Agent selection shapes the approach. The Analyst, Medic, Saboteur, and Bomber each bring unique devices and a personal perk, along with two distinct endings tied to uncovering the truth or earning a medal. Reading through an agent's full dossier reveals deeper context about the Exchange organization. Opponents across the table include Dice Delacroix the Gambler, Magpie the Hoarder, The Tailor, and Mr Kalt, each with distinct playstyles and commentary on the player's decisions.

Game Modes

The primary single-player experience unfolds across a twenty-four mission Cold War campaign. Completion unlocks New Game+ where each cycle increases difficulty. Endless mode generates new rooms for players to reach the greatest depth possible under a three-strike limit. Online PvP lets players host sessions by code for a five-mission series against another person. Over ninety achievements track progress across these options.

Core Mechanics and Progression

Every action before opening a case carries weight because the turn ends immediately upon selection. Sabotage options let players jam opponent devices, burn out their gear, scramble cases to erase readings, or remotely trigger a case. Radiation and other hazards create persistent consequences that demand long-term planning. The safehouse serves as a hub for resource management and preparation, turning downtime into meaningful puzzle-solving and customization. These systems reward methodical deduction over rushed decisions.

Is It Worth Playing?

BombCase targets players who enjoy turn-based deduction, bluffing, and light sabotage in a contained competitive format. The campaign provides a structured narrative arc with branching agent stories, while Endless and PvP extend replayability for those seeking repeated challenges or direct competition. With no user reviews available ahead of the November 2026 release, reception remains unknown, but the verified mechanics emphasize strategic depth and risk management that suit fans of thoughtful indie strategy titles. Availability on PC includes single-player campaign support alongside optional online PvP matches. Those drawn to deduction duels and persistent hazard management will find the most alignment with its design.
