Traditional 1990s JRPG fans will recognize the turn-based combat layout in Cat Attack RPG, with enemy portraits and action results displayed at the top of the screen alongside party details below. Players command a variety of characters, each equipped with unique skills and abilities learned through the plot. Tactics come into play via elemental weaknesses, absorptions, and resistances.
The indie RPG offers dozens of weapons, armors, and items to equip, plus scores of unique enemies and over 100 skills and magic abilities to master. Custom-designed dungeons provide the exploration backbone, built and tested without relying on generators. This setup draws in gamers who enjoy structured, classic RPG progression on PC.

Cat Attack is a game inspired by traditional 1990s JRPGs. It is most similar to Final Fantasy Mystic Quest or the Lufia series, with turn-based combat, enemy portraits and action results on the top of the screen, and party information at the bottom.
The game does not feature custom sprites but utilizes VX Ace's character creator.
Dungeons were designed by me and tested by myself and others, rather than using the random dungeon generator that comes with the program.
