About Dangerous Connections

Dangerous Connections - about the game

1987. The Soviet Union is no longer stable. Power shifts quietly beneath the surface, and not every faction follows the same path.

You step into the role of American special agent Dan Morris, known as “The Moscow Mule” — a field operative experienced in working behind the Iron Curtain. What begins as a covert investigation soon reveals a deeper struggle within a fractured system.

Dangerous Connections is a story-driven Cold War FPS that blends classic 90s-inspired design with modern sandbox elements. Rather than guiding you step by step, the game encourages exploration, observation, and independent decision-making.

Explore a Divided World

Across 15 handcrafted levels set in fictional Soviet locations, you will traverse snowy landscapes, industrial complexes, military installations, and hidden facilities.

Move on foot or take control of a wide range of custom Soviet-era vehicles — each built with attention to authenticity, wear, and atmosphere.

Snowy landscapes, industrial areas and enemy hideouts: Discover those and more in Dangerous Connections. Either by foot or with one of the many custom Soviet-era vehicles.

Weapons, Vehicles, Freedom

Equip period-accurate weapons or operate vehicles directly. Objectives can be approached in multiple ways, with minimal guidance and limited assistance.

Custom-made vehicles from Soviet production in various shapes, colors and signs of wear and tear.

One of your few digital tools: the FieldPad — your connection to mission data and operational insights.

Inspired by the Classics

Dangerous Connections draws inspiration from 90s console and PC FPS titles, embracing their strengths while enhancing them with modern technical capabilities and open-ended level design.

Familiar faces

The game pays tribute to industry legends who shaped a generation of players. Among them, Dr. David Doak returns in a special appearance, reprising his iconic role.

Dangerous Connections features a host of familiar faces from gaming history, like Dr. David Doak reprising his role as the famous Dr. Doak.

Synopsis

Intelligence reports indicate the development of an experimental weapon of mass destruction within the Soviet Union — a device unlike anything previously documented.

Its intended use is unclear. Its consequences could be catastrophic.

But the situation is more complex than a simple rogue operation.

To prevent geopolitical disaster, you must move carefully, act decisively, and uncover the forces operating behind the scenes.

Because sometimes the greatest threat is not an enemy across borders — but divisions within.
