About Lovanium - The Rising Suns

Lovanium - The Rising Suns - about the game
Captain Sasha and her crew crash-land on Lovanium, a planet at the heart of four solar systems, after a wormhole pulls their ship from the dark side of the moon. They repair the vessel by gathering metal currency to run three shops in the trading village: a flower shop for rare blooms, a food market stocked with hunted goods and fish, and a jewelry store fueled by mining shimmering stones. A story-rich 2D RPG, the game blends adventure with metroidvania elements and business mechanics, where quests from crew experts like the biologist, mechanic, archeologist, and engineer drive progress toward escaping before the wormhole shuts. Four suns cycle daily without night, each shifting gameplay-white suns boost plant and rock drops, yellow suns speed monster respawns, blue suns cut enemy encounters and add sales tips, while red suns drain energy outside the ship's dormitory. Players hunt, mine, trade, and battle in this indie action RPG. Casual adventurers and RPG fans who enjoy management loops and time-sensitive objectives will find a fresh take here.

Lovanium is a story-rich 2D RPG with breathtaking battles. Featuring a captivating view and some touches of metroidvania in its gameplay, the game offers a unique approach to achieving goals with its incredible business mechanics and some benefits based on the light of day.

STORY

Captain Sasha, along with her crew, is sent on a mission to uncover the disappearance of a ship after passing through the dark side of the moon. Upon reaching the disappearance site, they notice a small wormhole and are soon drawn in, hurtling into an unknown galaxy and colliding with Lovanium, a small planet with intelligent life placed in the center of 4 different solar systems. Now, Sasha and her crew must race against time to repair the ship and return before the wormhole closes, leaving them trapped there forever.

SHOPS

After discovering that the metal required to repair the ship is precisely used as currency by the people of Lovanium, Sasha gets the mayor's authorization to manage 3 shops within the trading village.

Flower shop: Flowers are highly appreciated in Lovanium, the rarer they are, the more valuable.

Food Market: Everybody needs to eat, and it's no different in Lovanium. Go hunting for wild animals, fruits, and fish.

Jewelry: The ancient people of Lovanium believed that the more shimmering stones you possess, the closer you are to your ancestors. So, grab your pickaxe and make a fortune through mining.

SUNS

As Lovanium is situated in the middle of 4 solar systems, there is no night. A daily cycle is lit by 4 distinct suns, each of which alters gameplay behavior. Therefore, understanding their benefits is crucial to achieving your objectives.

The white sun is like our morning on Earth. It shines brightly, but it's not very hot.

30% chance to get an extra drop of plants, fruits and rocks.

The yellow sun is not as bright and a bit warmer. It's when the monsters come out to hunt with more visibility.

20% chance to get an extra drop from monsters and 30% faster respawn.

Since the monsters are not big fans of the blue sun, the wealthier customers safely come to the city to do their shopping.

20% fewer monsters, and a 10% chance to receive a tip on sales.

The red sun is very dangerous for humans. The ship's dormitory is the safest place to rest.
