About MillionCube

MillionCube - about the game

MillionCube is an indie casual adventure game built around 3D maze exploration on PC. Players search for a single correct room hidden among hundreds of thousands or even a million interconnected spaces, using clues from door markings and environmental details to guide their progress.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on careful observation and deduction. Door numbers, letters, or characters provide direct hints, while the surrounding scenery offers additional context that becomes more pronounced as the goal draws nearer. This creates a steady sense of progress without requiring fast reflexes or complex controls. The experience supports both solo play, where players can move at their own speed and appreciate the detailed environments, and group sessions that allow cooperation or friendly competition. Items appear in the mazes to aid teamwork, including tools that teleport players to teammates or highlight who is closest to the goal. Treasure chests add an element of risk, as some contain traps instead of helpful resources. A simple character customization system lets players alter the appearance of their robot avatar, named Cube, with options for body color, facial expressions, and accessories. In the lobby or after completing a stage, slot machines provide a light diversion while waiting for others.

Game Modes

Four distinct worlds serve as the main stages, each with its own scale, theme, and estimated completion time. Backrooms features 1,000 rooms marked with three-digit numbers in a network of impersonal, repeating spaces and typically takes around 10 minutes to finish. Aquarium expands to 17,576 rooms using three-letter codes, where the variety of fish swimming through the tranquil setting supplies key clues and requires about two hours. Cyberpunk presents a larger challenge with 373,248 rooms identified by three katakana characters, though other writing systems such as kanji and Hangul are supported; neon-lit urban rooms vary in size and door placement, and codes occasionally form amusing words, with playtimes ranging from five hours to several days. Infinite Corridors reaches the maximum of 1,000,000 rooms using six-digit numbers and layers Japanese architectural elements in disorienting ways that challenge spatial awareness, often demanding 10 hours or more. Multiplayer sessions for up to 30 participants let groups tackle any of these worlds together, choosing between relaxed exploration or racing to the finish. Each world ends with a special finale that rewards reaching the goal.

Exploration and Multiplayer Features

The game emphasizes flexibility in pacing. Solo players can linger over scenic details without pressure, while multiplayer groups can divide tasks or compete directly. Co-op tools encourage communication and shared discovery, and the absence of demanding action mechanics keeps the focus on puzzle-like deduction. Customization options and lobby activities help maintain engagement during downtime. Streaming and video creation are fully supported without restrictions or required notices.

Is It Worth Playing?

MillionCube suits players who enjoy methodical exploration, visual puzzle-solving, and flexible multiplayer sessions in a casual indie adventure setting. The four themed worlds offer clear variety in scale and atmosphere, from quick introductory runs to extended endurance challenges. With support for solo pacing or groups of up to 30, the title accommodates different preferences for cooperation or competition. As an upcoming release with no player reviews available yet, its value depends on interest in long-form maze navigation and clue-based progression rather than action or narrative depth. Those drawn to the described mechanics and the option to play at any pace will likely find it engaging.
