The gameplay and mechanics are familiar and inspired by others in the genre. The visual style and composition was the main focus, an attempt to make a simple cute fantasy game with a unique artistic style purely for the sake of artistic freedom.
Updates and new content are planned going forward, but Paths not Penned is NOT a live service game. More will be added, updates can be expected, but a game can just be a game, it is what it is and doesn’t always need to be a live service "pushing updates for the sake of updates" game.
