About Tales of the Laser Knights

Tales of the Laser Knights - about the game

An Epic Journey... Full of Lasers, Explosions, and Ridiculously Good Fun!

Our young hero Zak – who’s certainly not your average farm boy – embarks on a quest to find the Ancient Orbs! These aren’t your average orbs, mind you. No, no – these are REALLY old, REALLY mighty alien gadgets scattered across the five known planets of the galaxy! They’re not just sitting there like some sort of galactic decoration. They’re packed with unimaginable power and the unnecessary complication of making Zak’s life way more difficult than it needs to be.

TALES OF THE LASER KNIGHTS

An Action-Adventure, Comic Sci-Fi B-Movie... with a Seriously Cool Laser Katana!

  • Controls? Twin-stick shooter style – you attack, you move, you dodge. It's so simple, it practically teaches itself!

  • Classic top-down action: explore, solve puzzles, and hit stuff with your Laser Katana that probably shouldn’t be hit with a Laser Katana (but hey, it’s your universe!).

  • Soundtrack: Composed by Olivér Kovács, bringing you tunes inspired by 80s/90s cartoons and anime. Get ready to feel nostalgic in the most nonsensical way possible.

LASERS! EXPLOSIONS! ACTION!

It's a galaxy-spanning, laser-fueled extravaganza. And did we mention explosions? Because there are lots of those. Like, a lot.

Upgrade Your Laser Katana!

Imagine if a Swiss Army knife had a laser sword… and a few extra booms thrown in. Extend your personal Laser Katana with more features than your last tech gadget that had a “Game-Changing Update.”

  • Power it up with Light and Heavy Attacks – because why settle for one when you can have both?

  • Learn the powerful Shield Stomp© – take that, gravity! Or turn it into a Laser Whiplash (don’t ask how that works, we don’t even know).

  • Swing over ravines with the super-useful Laser Grapplehook (I have absolutely no idea how that could possibly work?! Lasers and grappling???)

Across the Universe!

Explore all five planets in the galaxy, each with its own quirky environment, its own strange flora, and oh yesfauna that mostly just wants you to, you know, not exist anymore. You’ll need all the lasers, explosives, and questionable decisions you can muster! But hey, don’t worry about it – lasers! Explosions! Action!

The Plot

Zak lives on a boring desert farm. He’s seen one sand dune, and frankly, he’s had enough. Enter Ramius, an ancient warrior who casually mentions that Zak’s whole life is about to get a little more interesting. Turns out, there’s an ancient alien race called The Ancient, who built the Ancient Orbs. These orbs were supposed to unite the planets, but now they’re all gone like a bad sequel to a classic movie.

Zak’s family had one of these Orbs, and just when Zak thought life couldn’t get worse, it’s stolen by a bunch of weird, faceless soldiers. Zak grabs Ramius' ancient energy weapon, and with nothing but a sword, a dream, and a serious case of teenage angst, he sets off on a galaxy-spanning journey to retrieve these mystical spheres and maybe fix the galaxy along the way.

Along his adventures, Zak finds blueprints for more Ancient technology, making his weapon unbelievably powerful. Only with these upgrades will Zak survive the increasingly absurd challenges ahead. And what’s his end goal? To find and defeat the evil villainous forces who stole the Orbs in the first place – because, naturally, there has to be a villain. It's the law of the galaxy.

Summary in a Nutshell

Zak’s just trying to make it as a farm boy. Then bam! Ancient Orbs, lasers, explosions, and lots of very bad guys. Now he’s the galaxy’s last hope. Not bad for a guy who used to milk space cows.

Get ready to wield your Laser Katana, solve the universe’s problems, and try not to blow up too many things (although, let’s be honest, you probably will).
