First-person adventure plunges players into the total darkness of a sea trench within an unknown ocean. Navigate the ecosystem by managing flashlight battery life and sonar for orientation amid oppressive surroundings. Sea creatures lurk nearby, heightening tension through suspense rather than combat-getting lost simply demands finding the path back. This prototype crafts a focused exploration loop around environmental adaptation and discovery of hidden terrain quirks. Players who relish methodical navigation and atmospheric pressure without permadeath or violence will find it engaging. Built by students at the Barcelona Institute of Technology, it delivers pure underwater intrigue on PC.

What will the depths of the sea be like? And more importantly, what is in them?

Under the Water Depths is a first-person game in which you will dive into a trench in the middle of an unknown ocean. The depths of the sea hide sinister yet mystical secrets that invite to explore them. However, to do so, you must learn to navigate through its ecosystem, discovering its terrain's and its peculiarities while adapting to the oppressive atmosphere of the environment.
