How to Redeem Xbox Store Code

Here is how to redeem an Xbox code, whether you are on your console, the PC app, or the web.

Sign in
On your Xbox, sign in with the account you want the game on. You can also use the Xbox app on PC or go to redeem.microsoft.com in a browser.

Open Redeem
On console, open the Store and choose Redeem. In the app or on the web, look for Redeem code in the menu.

Enter your 25-character code
Type in the code. You do not need to add the dashes, the system fills those in.

Confirm
Follow the on-screen steps to finish. The game is added to your account and ready to install.
What is an Xbox code?
A 25-character code that adds a game, DLC, or Game Pass to your Microsoft account. Once redeemed it works across your Xbox consoles and the PC app.
Where do I find my code?
Look at the order confirmation page and the email from the store you bought it from. It is usually saved in your store account too.
Code not working?
- Check that all 25 characters are entered and nothing is missing.
- Mind the lookalikes: 0 vs O, 1 vs I, 8 vs B, 6 vs G.
- Some codes are tied to a region, so confirm it matches your account.
