Phoenix Foundry built the V class 2-8-0 locomotives in Ballarat, Victoria, from 1900 to 1901 for Victorian Railways branch lines. This simulation recreates them in early 2 Tone Green livery, as they ran until around 1905-7 on broad gauge track, complete with a tender and pre-made consists for light engine, goods, and passenger service. Operate the locomotive through detailed cab controls, including functional gauge glass valves, try-cock valves, cylinder drain cocks, reverser, and valve gear. Switch textures for clean, lightly weathered, or heavily weathered looks via the properties menu, with scripted effects like exhaust smoke, air compressor, injectors, blower, and cylinder drains toggled by ALT + D. Train enthusiasts enjoy the PBR materials, heightmapped plates, animated couplers, hoses, marker lamps, cab doors, physique-based coal load, and snow mesh in this PC simulation.

Built by the Phoenix Foundry in Ballarat, Victoria, between 1900 and 1901, the V class was the first 2-8-0 locomotive class on the Victorian Railways, designed for use on branch lines around Victoria, and was a predecessor to the K class and J class locomotives. Originally built as Vauclain Compound locomotives, which used the steam twice to propel the locomotive before exhausting out the chimney, the class was reboilered and converted to Simple Expansion locomotives in 1912-13.

This pack features the Phoenix Foundry V class locomotives, as running between 1900 and approximately 1905-7, in 2 Tone Green livery, with 3 levels of weathering, and highly detailed textures using TRS19's new PBR materials with height maps.

This locomotive is designed for broad gauge (5ft3in gauge) track.
