Levant 1941 retraces all the campaigns of the Second World War in the Middle East. The forces of the British Empire and its allies must successively crush the coup in Iraq fomented by the 3rd Reich, then seize Vichy France-held Syria and Lebanon, before finally entering Iran to set up a supply route to the Soviet Union.
Levant 1941 is played in 45 turns, each representing 3 days, between April 18 and August 30, 1941. It features two opposing sides, the Allies against the Axis.
- The Allies (British Empire and Free France) must first overthrow the new power in Iraq that could supply the Reich with oil, then conquer Syria before it becomes a platform for the Luftwaffe, and finally control Iran to open a logistical route to the USSR.
- The Axis must prevent at least one of these areas from falling into the hands of the Allies.
The game event cards allow full replay ability thanks to the numerous various situations that they create on the diplomatic, military, political or economical fields.
