About Brutal Ball Manager 2

Brutal Ball Manager 2 - about the game

Brutalball Manager 2 is Franchise Management Simulation game, based mostly on American Football in a Fantasy setting. The goal is to create a game that’s fun to watch and manage with lots of complexity and stat tracking.

Primary Features:

8 v 8 football, players play both sides of the ball

Fantasy races: Orcs, elves, dwarves etc. 14 Base and 10 DLC Races with over 70 variants!

True Simulations: Simulated games use the exact same engine as games watched at normal speed

Total control of all teams: You can assign AI to manage any aspect of the game at any time. This also allows for Multiplayer Hot Seat and Multiplayer Streaming Leagues. Works with Steam Remote Play.

Franchise Features: draft, unique off-season free agency, in season events, end of season awards, league records, career stat tracking, Hall of Fame

Players have personality traits that influence weekly events, free agency and on the field buffs.

Moddable: In game Team and Player Editor, Import your own logos, Game variables moddable in game, History, Coach and Schedule file that is fully moddable

What's different in Brutalball Manager 2

More Traits:  In BB1 there were 13 main traits (Speed, strength etc.).  BB2 now has dependent sub traits for each of these.  For example, if a player has a PASS rating of 75, they might have SHORT PASS of 87, MEDIUM PASS of 63 etc.

KOs:  To increase the importance of having a deep bench, players are more likely to leave the game in BB2.  In BB1 players could get injured (permanent decrease in stats) or killed.  Now KOs also occur (more frequent than injuries by default), which knocks the player out of the game without causing permanent damage.

Replays:  You can now watch replays during the game.

Streamer-mode:  Developed for people that stream leagues, but fun for folks that just love to sit back and watch and entire week of games.  Streamer-mode, auto speeds-up games as the games get out of hand and slows if back down if the game gets close.  Also, adjusts speed based on the importance of the game.

More tools to manage your leagues:  Export players as draft classes to other leagues, swap franchises between leagues (allows for for customizable Promotion and Relegation systems), schedule editor, custom awards creator, in-league tournament creator.

Full season free agency and firing of coaches:  The dreaded end of season dropping of players for high salary teams is the same in BB2, however, the signing of those free agents works much differently.  There is a claim system based on team APPEAL that happens weekly.  Coaches can be hired and fired at will, but be careful, it costs APPEAL to fire them during the season.

More control over substitutions:  After a lot of feedback the BB1 substitution system lacked clear control.  Players could also switch positions during the game.  The system has been simplified by not moving player positions during the game and allowing assignment of specific players as substitutes in the roster manager.

Personalities are more transparent:  In BB1, all of a player's personality was hidden and owners would only get to know the personalities through events.  In BB2, players with extreme personalities get TAGS which show the kind of benefits or trouble they might cause for the team.  You still don't see their exact personality numbers, but now you at least have a solid clue.

UI and presentation Improvements:  Cleaner interface, in-game ticker bar with league news.

Improved graphics and animations
