Five players. One gun.
You and your friends operate the feared German 88 mm anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War. Up to five players share one gun: someone watches the bombers and calls out the range, while the others aim, set fuzes or load the next round.
Then comes the first shot. You watch where the shell bursts and adjust. Too short? Too late? With every shot, you get to know the gun a little better. With practice, the next job gets done before anyone has to ask.
Find your place in the crew
Divide the jobs or move between stations when someone needs a hand. At the rangefinder, you track the incoming aircraft. At the aiming wheels, you keep the gun moving with them. Bringing up ammunition means your friends won't be left waiting at an empty breech.
Let one player handle both aiming axes or split elevation and traverse between two people. Keep talking to each other. A range called out in time matters just as much as the next shell being ready.
Get to know the 88
Work the handwheels and breech, carry ammunition from the supply point and prepare each round. Set the fuze so the shell bursts as close to the target as possible.
A burst behind the bomber formation tells you something. So does one that goes off too soon. Watch the result, adjust your fuze setting and lead, then try again. Over time, you'll get a feel for the gun and learn how to put shots on target together.
Keep an eye on the sky
By day, bomber formations cross your field of fire. At night, searchlight beams help you follow the aircraft. Hits can damage engines, tear away parts and bring bombers down.
Between waves, there's time to bring up more ammunition and get ready for the next approach.
Want a gun of your own?
In Arcade mode, each player gets a separate gun. An automatic crew handles range measurements, fuze settings and loading. You choose your targets and aim the gun yourself, playing alone or with up to four other players.
After each round, compare scores and use the experience you've earned to train your crew.
