About LOW-FI

LOW-FI - about the game
Step into the shoes of a low-fi police officer patrolling crime-ridden city-block 303, a non-linear open world filled with fellow outcasts and post-singularity artificial life forms. This VR-first strategy RPG simulation lets you choose your path-issue tickets from the skies, investigate crime scenes, or unwind in arcades and casinos. Earn credits through mining, hover-racing, fishing, or slots, then spend on cruiser upgrades, weapons, companion toys, and apartment decorations. Recruit companions like a police drone or cyberwolf, pursue optional gunplay and grey-morality choices, and collect comic books, cassette tapes, or public domain movies. Play minigames, tackle seasonal content, or roam wastelands for hundreds of hours of exploration. Ideal for players who crave open-ended simulation with true freedom in a massive, player-driven world.

As the player, you are “low-fi”, the street name given to those who cannot merge with the platform, a ubiquitous virtual reality simulation where most of the population now live their lives. You are a police officer transferred to a particularly crime ridden section of city-block 303. The only inhabitants of note in your jurisdiction are other low-fi, and the human intelligence (or lower) artificial life forms who have remained among the citizens after the AI singularity.

LOW-Fi is a new kind of experience designed from the ground up for VR but playable in standard desktop mode and on Steam Deck as well. More akin to a holodeck program than a traditional game, this massive open world simulation, leaves it up to you as the player as to what you want to do. City-block 303 and the surrounding wastelands are a completely non-linear world. You can patrol the skies handing out tickets, hang out in the arcade and play games, or try your luck at the casino. How you earn and spend your credits is entirely up to you.

There are tons of upgrades to purchase, from weapon upgrades, and toys for you and your companions, to decorations for your cruiser and apartment(s). We want you to roam the world and enjoy yourself the way you want to. We set the stage, but story is in your hands.
