About Niji Protocol

Niji Protocol - about the game
Hunt demons masquerading as human elites who steal iconic artifacts like the Torch of Lady Liberty and Japan's Imperial Seal. In this retro-styled detective puzzle game, track suspects across 30 neon-soaked cities from Neo-Tokyo to Toronto. Gather clues from landmarks and witnesses to pinpoint traits like skin color, currency interests, and escape routes toward rivers or mountains. Use the Grimoire to filter 24 high-profile demon suspects by physical traits and habits, then issue a Seal of Banishment warrant for the confrontation. Procedural cases randomize suspects, artifacts, paths, and clues for replayability, with real-world geography and history aiding deductions. Rank up from rookie to ace, tackling harder investigations in a neon-noir aesthetic. Fans of 80s and 90s edutainment deduction games will enjoy the timed logic challenges.

THEY HIDE IN PLAIN SIGHT, BUT BEHIND THE GLAMOUR LIES AN ANCIENT GREED.

The world sees only wealth and glamour in the penthouse suites, the VIP lounges, and the boardrooms. But the real power isn't human. It’s hiding behind the velvet ropes.

The Demon Aristocracy has surfaced. Masquerading as the human elite, these entity "collectors" are liquidating humanity’s history. From the Torch of Lady Liberty to the Imperial Seal of Japan, they are stealing our greatest artifacts to decorate their personal underworlds.

The NIJI PROTOCOL is now active, and it's your job to stop these thieves in their tracks!

THE INVESTIGATION

Niji Protocol is a retro-styled detective puzzle game that pays homage to the classic "edutainment" deduction games of the 80s and 90s. As a field agent, you must track a thief across a global map, gathering clues to determine their next destination and their true identity.

But you aren't chasing common criminals. You are hunting demons.

  • TRAVEL across 30 neon-soaked cities, from the rainy streets of Neo-Tokyo to the frozen skyline of Toronto.

  • INVESTIGATE famous landmarks and interview local witnesses—from snooty Hotel Concierges to weary Street Vendors.

  • DECIPHER clues. Does the suspect have Red Skin or Blue Skin? Did they ask about the Yen or the Rupee? Did they flee toward a River or a Mountain?

THE LOGIC PUZZLE

Speed is essential, but accuracy is mandatory. You must correctly identify and catch the suspect before time runs out.

  • The Grimoire: Input the physical traits and habits you gather from witnesses. Filter the list of 24 High-Profile Demon Suspects to find your target.

  • The Seal of Banishment: You cannot make an arrest without the proper paperwork. You must positively identify the suspect and issue a warrant before the final confrontation.

  • The Confrontation: Corner the suspect at their final location. If your paperwork is in order, you banish them. If you guessed wrong... they escape with the loot.

KEY FEATURES
  • Procedural Cases: No two investigations are the same. The suspect, the stolen artifact, the flight path, and the clues are randomized for endless replayability.

  • Neon-Noir Aesthetic: A unique visual style blending 1980s retro anime character designs with a high-contrast, blacklight-fantasy color palette.

  • Educational Trivia: Use real-world geography, history, and cultural facts to determine where the suspect fled.

  • Rank Up: Start as a Rookie with a plastic badge and work your way up to an Ace detective, unlocking harder cases and elite clearance levels.

  • Original Soundtrack: Investigate to the smooth sounds of a soundtrack tailored for the twilight of the 20th century.

The clock is ticking, Agent. The collection is almost complete. Will you stop them?
