About Noon Saloon

Noon Saloon - about the game

Noon Saloon is a tactical Wild West party shooter that blends hidden movement with synchronized shootouts for two to ten players on PC. The action unfolds in a shared arena where participants position themselves during timed draws before the screen reveals every aim and the volley resolves in one cinematic sequence. This setup creates tense rounds of bluffing and prediction without requiring constant line of sight on opponents.

Gameplay

Each round begins with a draw that grants six, ten, or fifteen seconds to move and aim while rivals remain hidden. Players view the arena layout, cover positions, crates, and ghost markers from previous rounds but never see live enemy locations until the timer ends. The first draw forces completely blind firing for everyone. Once time expires, all aims lock and the game replays the entire exchange as a single synchronized volley. Most weapons discharge together, though Quickdraw fires early and ricochets can bank around obstacles. A stick of dynamite launched during the draw detonates only after the gunfire concludes.

Survivors retain their final positions and leave behind ghost markers that display both location and aim direction for the next round. These markers provide the only information for planning the following draw. Players decide whether to chase crates for power-ups, reposition behind cover, or attempt bank shots that exploit the ricochet mechanic. Eight distinct power-ups alter each showdown: Quickdraw shoots before the count, Shotgun spreads five pellets in a short-range fan, Dynamite clears cover after firearms finish, Ricochet banks for the round and stacks, FMJ penetrates bodies, Double Tap fires twice, Iron Vest blocks the first hit, and Snake Oil misleads the next ghost marker. Desktop controls use WASD and mouse while phones connect via browser for touch input. Solo options include bot opponents or a fully automated bot shootout.

Game Modes

Showdown operates as a free-for-all where participants earn bounties for kills, Quickdraws, bank shots, and survival. The last gunslinger standing wins the round. Infection converts every hit into a gang conversion rather than elimination. Converted players join the attacker's crew and cannot shoot one another. Striking a rival boss absorbs their entire crew. Only the boss of the surviving gang claims victory. Both modes support one to five rounds with adjustable settings for positioning time, base ricochets, power-up frequency, bot presence, and violence level. Public or private sessions allow Steam friends to join directly while phone users enter via QR code or four-letter room code without an app or account.

Arenas and Customization

Twelve distinct arenas shape each session, including Main Street, The Saloon, Ghost Town, Devil's Canyon, Silver Mine, The Iron Rail, The Marshal's Office, Mission San Diablo, Rio Grande Ford, Coyote Stockyard, Fort Rattlesnake, and Golden Stamp Mill. Optional visual settings toggle between clean dust and red stylized blood with persistent bodies. Ten cosmetic gunslingers provide visual variety. Hosts control round count, timing, power-up availability, and bot difficulty to match group preferences.

Is It Worth Playing?

Noon Saloon suits groups seeking a fast, repeatable party experience that mixes strategy with social deduction. The hidden positioning and synchronized resolution reward careful reading of ghost markers and creative use of power-ups without demanding precise aiming skill. Sessions scale from intimate two-player matches to larger ten-player tables, and the phone-browser join system removes barriers for guests. Private rooms keep games closed while public options facilitate quick matchmaking. Players who enjoy short, high-stakes rounds with clear feedback on every decision will find repeated value in experimenting with different arena layouts and power-up combinations. The mix of action and strategy keeps rounds unpredictable even after multiple plays.
