About One Fleet

One Fleet - about the game

One Fleet is a 2D space battle strategy game developed for PC that blends indie creativity with tactical combat. Players draw their own fleets on a virtual sheet of paper, where the exact shapes of each ship determine how they perform and survive in fights.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on sketching ships with a pencil tool. Each drawing becomes the actual vessel in battle, with damage and collision areas shifting based on the lines and forms created. A ship drawn with thick hull sections might absorb hits differently than one with narrow extensions or irregular outlines. This system makes every fleet unique to the player who sketched it.

Control comes through hands, which function as factions. Each hand manages a fleet with some autonomy while allowing direct command over one ship at a time. Battles unfold in real time as these hands direct movements and attacks. Persistent marks mean drawings and battle damage carry forward, building a visible record of past engagements on the shared page.

Fleets expand through research and accumulated experience from fights. New ships and capabilities emerge over successive play sessions, encouraging players to refine their drawing techniques and tactical choices as the collection grows.

Game Modes

Players can engage in solo conquest campaigns that progress through a series of battles on the evolving paper surface. These sessions let individuals develop their fleets and hands without external input.

Multiplayer options support online sessions with friends. Participants join as separate hands on the same page, each controlling portions of their own drawn fleets while competing or cooperating in the same real-time space battles. The shared, non-erased marks create a running history visible to everyone involved.

Is It Worth Playing?

One Fleet remains in a pre-release state with no user reviews available yet. Its appeal lies in the distinctive pencil-drawing mechanic that ties ship design directly to combat outcomes, combined with persistent progression and the option for both solo campaigns and friend-based online matches. Strategy fans who enjoy experimental control systems and the idea of building fleets through personal sketches may find the approach engaging once the game launches. Those seeking more conventional space combat without the drawing layer might prefer established titles in the genre. The indie focus on a single evolving page and hand-based factions sets it apart for players open to its unconventional format.
