Turkish writings from the Orkhon River valley in northern Mongolia stand on three large monuments erected in AD 732 and 735. These inscriptions honor Prince Kül, who died in 731, his brother Emperor Bilge, who died in 734, and counselor Tonyukuk, who served four Turkic khagans until 716.
