About PINDEMONIUM

PINDEMONIUM - about the game

PINDEMONIUM is a roguelike pinball deckbuilder that blends precise physics-based ball control with run-based progression and deck-building choices. Players launch and guide a ball across a table filled with classic pinball elements while aiming to hit escalating target scores before balls run out. Between stages, earnings fund purchases that reshape the table through stacked passives, upgrades, and rule-altering vouchers. The result is a single-player experience on PC where each attempt builds toward increasingly chaotic and high-scoring runs.

Gameplay

The core loop centers on a physics-driven table equipped with eight standard components: bumpers, slingshots, spinners, drop targets, standup targets, lamp banks, orbit lanes, and saucers. Bumpers carry hit points that players can wear down for large payouts before they respawn. Hits build a combo multiplier that grows as long as the ball stays in play; dropping the ball resets the multiplier to zero. Flipper mastery involves catching the ball on the sweet spot for added power and timing presses for a Perfect Parry that delivers extra impact.

Between stages, players visit a shop to spend earnings on a selection of more than forty passives divided into Ball, Map, and Common slots, with only three items allowed per category. Fourteen stackable upgrades improve ball power, flip power, and scoring from individual table parts. Four card pack types offer random or targeted draws, while eleven vouchers modify run rules such as adding pockets, expanding the vault, enabling bulk purchases, or granting an extra ball. Synergies emerge from specific combinations, including Frostball that freezes bumpers for triple damage on follow-up hits, Slingshot Charge that doubles power on bounces, Drop Sequence that multiplies scores for precise target order, and Glass Ball that doubles all scores at the risk of shattering after twenty hits. Multiple specialized balls such as Fireball, Lightning Ball, Bomb Ball, Sniper Ball, Phantom Ball, Planet Ball, Void Ball, and Missile Ball can be mixed for varied effects.

Ten unlockable flippers each carry a unique strength paired with a drawback. Examples include Ironclad, which begins with an extra ball but weaker flips; Investor, which starts with extra cash but earns no interest; and Heirloom, which grants a random passive yet limits shop options. Clearing runs unlocks additional flippers for future attempts.

Game Modes

The main campaign consists of twelve stages spread across four rounds. Each stage sets a specific target score, and modifiers such as time limits, sealed table parts, hit caps, or halved scores require players to adapt their approach and build choices. Success depends on balancing aggressive scoring with careful ball management to preserve resources for the shop.

Endless Mode becomes available after completing the twelve stages. It continuously raises the target score, pushing builds toward extreme scales that can reach into the billions. The mode tests how far synergies and upgrades can scale without a fixed endpoint.

Deck Building and Progression

Progression rewards clean play through leftover balls and interest payouts that carry over into shop funds. Card packs and vouchers introduce variability, encouraging experimentation across runs. The limited slot system for passives forces meaningful decisions, while stackable upgrades allow gradual power growth. Unlocking flippers adds long-term variety, as each new option alters starting conditions and forces different strategies.

Is It Worth Playing?

PINDEMONIUM suits players who enjoy precise single-player pinball mechanics combined with roguelike decision-making and incremental build crafting. The physics-driven table and combo system reward timing and positioning, while the shop and passive layers create meaningful variety between attempts. With twelve stages featuring modifiers and an open-ended Endless Mode, the game offers substantial replay depth for those drawn to arcade-style challenges that evolve through upgrades. As an upcoming title with no player reviews available yet, its appeal rests on the confirmed systems of ball control, synergy stacking, and flipper trade-offs rather than established community feedback. Those who appreciate focused, physics-heavy runs with deck-building elements will find the core loop engaging from the first playthrough.
