Madeleine, the tomboyish princess of the Kingdom of Bradley, discovers an old recipe book in the palace library and falls head over heels for baking. “A princess baking bread? How undignified!” Facing fierce opposition from her parents, Madeleine runs away from the castle and, with the help of Churro, the chief of the small village of Yeastville, opens a bakery all her own.
But the world is in peril. The Bakery Overlord, the Bakeromancer, has unleashed his bakery monsters to drive the small local bakeries out of business, and he dreams of building a franchise empire across the entire continent. To stop him, Madeleine takes up her sword and rolling pin, and her adventure begins!
