Hand-drawn indie casual games demand a friend right beside you, perfect for Steam Deck play. This collection revives high school classics from paper, flash sites, early phones, and DOS-to-Windows 95 PCs, where players gathered in person to share a keyboard or mouse. Titles include Dots N Boxes, Checkers, Guess the Flag, Snake, Trivia with over 1500 questions, TicTacToe, Tennis, Hangman, Sliding Puzzle, Memory, and Game With Ball, plus a quizmaster mode. Friends huddle together for these 11 quick matches and brain teasers, skipping online lobbies for real-time fun. Casual players who cherish local multiplayer shine here, turning simple turns into shared laughs.

Better With A Friend is a collection of hand drawn games specifically for the Steam Deck that you can only play with somebody else.

Better With A Friend is a homage to older games that I used to play back in the day during high school. Either on paper, some random flash game website, one of my first phones or a DOS PC that later became the Windows 95 computer. The time that it was virtually impossible to play against each other over the internet. Not counting those text based browser strategy games that my friends and I frequently visited during computer class. You basically had to be at the same place with all your friends to play games. For some games even sharing a keyboard or mouse.
